Civil and Human Rights
Humanists are committed to civil and human rights. Above all, HoW supports the right to one’s inviolate identity. Issues of concern include the rights of incarcerated individuals or detained immigrants, LGBTQIA issues, free speech and expression, ethnic or racial discrimination, and more. HoW has a proud tradition of supporting the protection of minority rights from the tyranny of the majority.
